Medical Guardian Announces New 911 Alert Device
Medical Guardian is proud to introduce one of the latest innovations in mobile monitoring, the 911 Alert Device, a "one button" alarm unit designed to allow seniors access to help even when not at home.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, May 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Medical Guardian, recognized as a leading provider of medical alert services, has experienced exceptional growth since its inception and now serves thousands of seniors nationwide. The latest addition to its product line allows seniors without land line telephone service to speak directly with 911 operators from anywhere in the United States with a cell phone signal.

The 911 Alert Device, however, does not require long term contracts or cellular minute costs required by cell phone companies, and is available to new and existing customers for just $10 per month extra after a client obtains a medical alert system. To keep the cost and weight of the unit low, it is not GPS equipped, but because it operates on cell phone signals, the 911 alert device connects the user to the local 911 emergency service.

The 911 Alert Device was developed in response to customer request for a "one button" system that would provide the same Medical Guardian assistance they've come to rely on, but one that can be taken with them anywhere they go. With the 911 Alert Device as a supplemental option to the medical alarm system, seniors can live independently at home and anywhere they go- while out for a walk, at the mall-anywhere they need assistance.

"We're very excited about the new product and the ability to offer it to our existing client base, as well as new customers", says Medical Guardian president Geoff Gross, "There has been high demand for this type of product for quite some time, and the response so far has been outstanding".

Resembling a pedometer, the 911 Alert Device is smaller than a cell phone and fits easily into a pocket or pocketbook, or could be used on a belt clip or key ring. In an emergency, a press of the button dials the nearest 911 service and opens up the two way speaker phone function, allowing seniors to speak directly to 911 operators to give them the location and type of emergency.
