The highlight of her career was being praised by a regulatory inspector when she had to meet with him in place of a colleague who was negligent in a permitting process. Although Ms. Dupuis felt nervous, she calmly gave the inspector all the facts and data he needed. He responded by telling her she had a strong sense of character and a willingness to do what is right in the face of adversity; his praise has stayed with her.
