BEDMINSTER, NJ, July 7, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ibrahim A. Ghobrial, Ph.D., Senior Director of Analytical Development and Quality Control for NPS Pharmaceuticals, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of biotechnology.

Ibrahim A. Ghobrial, Ph.D. brings 39 years of professional experience to NPS Pharmaceuticals. An expert in developing biotechnology products, he is tasked with managing analytical development and quality control departments. He began his career at Hoffman LaRoche in 1970 and was there until 1978 in the analytical testing group. He began his career with Johnson & Johnson in 1978, where he was instrumental in the development of biotechnology products and received various awards and recently received the Gold Encore Award for his services to the company. Dr. Ghobrial has published over 50 articles relating to his work. He considers his dedication and knowledge to be the driving forces behind his success.

An Egyptian emigrant, Dr. Ghobrial earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1986. In 1977, Dr. Ghobrial earned his Master's Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Geology from Cairo University in 1965, and is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
