EDISON, NJ, March 06, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fmoc conventional solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) is still the method used worldwide for the peptide synthesis in custom peptide manufacturers, university research laboratories and pharmaceutical companies. For peptides less than about 30 amino acids long, most of manufacturers use routine synthesis based on the standard Fmoc solid phase method. Many coupling reagents are not widely used due to their high costs.

Compared with other conventional coupling reagents, LifeTein's new coupling regent rendered effective synthesis and gave even higher purity peptide than other regular coupling reagents such as TBTU, PyBOP, HATU and so on. The reaction times for the long peptides were reduced to 1-2 minutes for deprotection and 3 min for coupling. More sophisticated peptides were tested and synthesized using this reagent, which results in equal or better purity.
