Nano 4 Life Conference Explores Key Areas in Life-Science Nanotechnology
Bio Nano Consulting, NanoKTN and Wellcome Trust help to showcase technological advances

The Nano 4 Life conference explored key areas within life sciences where nanotechnology offers opportunities to advance healthcare provision, improve product development and help keep the UK a leading force in this exciting technology area. With high-quality keynote addresses from household names such as GSK, AstraZeneca and GE Healthcare, the event was significantly over-subscribed with greater than 170 registrations.

Nanotechnology is widely recognised to have the potential to make a significant impact on healthcare. This conference successfully brought together leading academic and industry researchers to discuss the increasingly important intersection between nanotechnology and the bio, pharma and healthcare sectors. As bio-nanotechnology experts, BNC organised the Nano 4 Life conference in order to explore how nanotechnology can further benefit life science.

Attendees of the conference heard where the technology can provide solutions to healthcare issues and also what researchers need to consider when developing innovations to ensure that companies can take these new ideas to the patients that need them. The conference had a very positive outlook on how the sector will be able to help solve some of the most pressing healthcare problems, such as drug resistant superbugs and major advances in cancer treatment.
